Input needed for Taiwan Trip in April

My Taiwan trip plan is as follows, can I have input whether it would be too tiring. Fyi, I will be travelling with parents in 50s and a 2 year old nephew.

Day 1:

Reached Taipei @ evening

Check in hotel, walk around hotel for dinner

Day 2:

Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall

Shopping at Wu Pen Pu

Taipei 101 in the evening

Shilin Night Market

Day 3:

Make our way to Hualien in the morning

Tour around Taroko Gorge

Stay overnight at Hualien

Day 4:

Go back to Taipei, make way to Sun Moon Lake

Relax in Hotel @ SML

Day 5:

Tour around SML

In the evening, go back to Taipei

Shida Night Market

Day 6:

Make way to YangMinShan

afternoon go to Danshui, visit Fisherman Wharf

Raohe Night Market

Day 7:

Shop around XMD

Airport in the evening

I have some questions:

-Is there any night market that I can visit in Hualien

-Any alternative means to get to SML from Hualien? i don%26#39;t want to be making too many bus transfers. -Would it be possible to visit SML for a day trip?

-Which one is more worth going - SML or Yehliu?

-Anything to see in YangMinShan in April?

Is there any night market that I can visit in Hualien

Nanbin nm, zhiqiang nm are the bigger ones to try.Nanbin is more touristy n downtown while the other has more variety of food offerings n are mostly frequented by locals.

self drive or hiring a driver, both are more costlt mode of transport compared to rail. one could also fly to Taipei then transfer via HSR

-Which one is more worth going - SML or Yehliu?

SML is a lake while Yehliu a geopark, it depends on what u like.

-Anything to see in YangMinShan in April?

Do you know around how much would it cost to hire a driver from Hualien? And how long would the journey take?

how long is the HSR ride from Taipei to SML?

Sorry, didn%26#39;t make myself clear, from HSR station, one has to transfer via bus/taxi to SML.

Dunno about the price as we always drive.
