leofoo village themepark review

just got back from taipei on 14th dec 2008. visited leofoo village. its a reasonable priced themepark. very suitable for young children to adults. there are many rides catered for ages 2 to 12.the best part for my 3 year old son was walking thru the jurasic park with replicas of dinosaurs. No long queues and it takes about an hour from downtown taipei to get there. u can take a bus from jingan station or hire a cab which cost us 900twn one way (there were 6 of us so its worth it).

The price of the cab was reasonable, too. That%26#39;s really helpful, to know the cost of going to Leofoo by cab. Glad your family enjoyed Leofoo. Thanks for posting!

Great to know ! We will go to this theme park this time...

Can you tell me which rides would be TOO scary for my 3 and 5 year old?

And do we just hail a cab off the street to get there?

Did you go early in the morning until it closes?

How%26#39;s the food in the park?

How%26#39;s the washroom facilities?

Thanks.

Yes, Leo Foo Village is a class of her own.

Although it has limited rides, the theme park is large-spaced enough to occupy a day of leisure %26amp; fun!

To go to Leo Foo, the forums here suggested to take the E-Go bus. In Taipei, take Mrt n alight at Jing An Mrt station n look for E-GO bus stop beside statn. Fare: estimated TWD120.

While waiting at Jing Ann statn bus stop, U may also be offered a taxi journey there by cabbies ';licensed'; to fetch visitors to the theme park. The cabbie will explain to U how it works..

Essentially U pay TWD100 per pax for a comfortable cab ride of abt 40 mins. We were told it%26#39;ll take abt an hour by bus..

What rides are suitable for a 3 %26amp; 5 years old?

I remember only 2. That is, when accompanied by an adult, particularly for the 3 yr old kid.

2 rides: Flying toucan %26amp; Bumboat.

Besides the rides, Leo Foo Village has a Zoo, Safari %26amp; fun spaces to discover n enjoy.

We enjoyed Leo Foo. May U all too.

Oh, I missed these..

Washrooms in Leo Foo?

They were excellent. Easily available, clean. :-)

Food?

There are restaurants. Also kiosks selling refreshments all over. We bought TWD70 BBQ squid from a kiosk.. Too huge a serving each of us struggled to finish our share haha..

We enjoyed Leo Foo. It was a delightful ';escape'; in our 8-days tour of Taipei, Taiwan in Nov 08.

TA :-)

thanks. only TWO rides suitable ? That%26#39;s not many.

Will definitely try to visit it this trip.

U%26#39;re welcome, Katetam.

Maybe a picture (actually album!) speaks better.

I found this Sam L%26#39;s guy snapshots of his happy family moments in Leo Foo:

The theme park is divided by regions such as American West %26amp; South Pacific zones. The outdoor Zoo features carnivores %26amp; herbivores, n a Safari-style bus tour through the park.

As I mentioned, I%26#39;m sure the sheer delight %26amp; fantasy of Leo Foo has lots more to offer kids - not just the 2 rides I highlighted. :-)

Amazing! I just found another album of a happy family @ Leo Foo Village:

May U enjoy a great time with yr family in Taiwan.

Call this number for cab:0921-984-658. Call him one day in advance to book. He will pick you up from your hotel. Yes we were there about 11 am and leave only when they close at 5pm (winter).

Lots of toddler friendly rides, no worries. As for food, they have a good variety ie rice, noodles etc. Toilet facility is good.

No complains at all.

Have a good trip.

thanks jackcatho,

the taxi driver you posted, does he give good rates for Leofoo? how much did you pay from Taipei to Leofoo? Thanks again !

We paid ntw900 from Jingan Station.
