Planning Taiwan trip for a week (7D) between Apr - Aug

Hi, my friend and I havent been to Taiwan before and would like to visit the country this year for a week (around 7days).

We intend to do free and easy. Can anyone give me some suggestions where/how I shld start my planning? I also have some questions as follow.

When is the best time to visit Taiwan? Perfer cooling weather and limited to Apr - Aug period.

For first timers, is it better to start with Taipei first or the countryside?

If start with Taipei, for a 7D stay, do you think we can cover other nearby areas?

Really hv no idea how to begin and wld really be grateful for some help.

The weather is expected to be cool (not too hot or cold) in the months of Mar~Apr and Nov~Dec, making it the most comfortable periods for travel in Taiwan. 7 days free and easy itinerary can cover most places of attractions within Taipei city, Tamsui, Wulai, Yehliu, Jinguashih, Jiufen, Keelung, Shifen, Pingsi, Jing-tong and Taroko Gorge / Hualien. These places are easily accessible by public transport and are not too difficult for first timers. Just need to do some homework.

1,if you like cooling weather, then April will be the only choice.

2,for first timers Taipei should be the first priority.

3,yes.Haulien,Alishan,ching jing or kaohsiung all worth a try .
