I%26#39;ve been surfing quite abit of websites for hotels %26amp; bus tix %26amp; realised that most of them do not take credit card payment but only their local bank transfers. some dun even have online booking system.
so how do you guys book your hotels %26amp; bus tix?
i need to book a hotel in Sun Moon Lake and also bus tix for Taipei to Sun Moon Lake (Kuo Kuang). And then Sun Moon Lake to Taichung (Nantou).
I hope someone can help me out here. Thanks in adv!

Taiwan hoteliers are a trusting bunch. Just call up the hotel number, tell the agent your name, date, and time of arrival, and most hotels will gladly hold the room for you with no prepayment or deposit. I was a little nervous the first time I try this, but so far every hotel have honored my reservation.
Of course, courtesy demands courtesy in return. For Taiwan hoteliers to continue extending this courtesy to foreign travellers, you need to show up promptly. And if you can%26#39;t make it for any reason, make sure to call in advance so the hotel can rent out the room to someone else.

Agreed with previous poster. If you are worry, do call them few days prior your arrival date to reconfirm your booking.
