From Kaohsiung Int Airport to EverGreen Hotel

Hi all

I will be staying in EverGreen Hotel, only know that it is centrally located in Sinsing district. It is a few blocks north of the Cultural Center

I want to know how much it will cost to take a cab there? Do we need to negotiate the price with the cab driver before boarding?

Will be staying in Kaohsiung for abt 4 days 3 nites, can some1 share their iternary with me cos i really hope to cover as much places as possible.

I guess you make a mistake ,there%26#39;s no EverGreen Hotel in Kaohsiung,the one you mentioned above near the Culture Center should be Evergreen Tainan.it%26#39;s far away.

Oh is Evergreen tainan? Guess i see wrongly. So how much will it take to go there by cab?? I hope is not too expensive cos on a budget here. hehe

Taxi is not recommend,it%26#39;s too far.You can take the MRT from airport to Kaohsiung TRA station,and transferring the train to Tainan station,then walking to the Hotel or by taxi.

MRT to Kaohsiung station 15~20 mins.

TRA Train to Tainan station 30~50 mins.

Actually, the Evergreen in Kaohsiung is located near KRT Cultural Center Station---but sorry, I don%26#39;t know how much it costs by cab from KHH Airport. The KRT has a station at both Kaohsiung Int%26#39;l Airport and Cultural Center, however.

(There are ';Evergreen Hotels'; in Tainan, Keelung, Taipei, Taichung.....same name, but not necessarily the same company.)

Expect to pay about NT$300 for a taxi ride from Kaohsiung International Airport to Kaohsiung downtown. Travel time: About 15 mins

Places of attractions in Kaohsiung worth a visit include Love River cruise, Cijin Island, Former British Consulate at Takao (打狗英国领事馆), Urban Spotlight (城市光廊), Sinkujiang Shopping Circle, Dream Mall, Hsitzuwan Beach (西子灣), Lotus Lake -- Dragon %26amp; Tiger Pagodas and Spring %26amp; Autumn Pavilions, Kaohsiung 85 Building (highest building in Kaohsiung), Liouhe Tourist night market.

Thanks for the information, I will check up the links. Another qns..hehe..sorry, because i will in staying in kaoshiung for 4 days 3 nites before goin to taipei. So i was wondering should i visit Kenting cos the trip there is very far and at most will need a day there or is it just sufficient to visit all those major attractions as mentioned?

Pinksub, it would be a pity to be in Kaohsiung and not see Kenting, but that depends on whether you%26#39;re into scenery %26amp; serenity (Kenting) or only shopping %26amp; big city life (Kaohsiung)?

Pinksub, in answer to your question, a day trip is not sufficient to see everything Kenting has to offer, but it%26#39;s better than not having seen it at all.

Just to clarify, the locations of the Evergreen Hotels which Lu24759 is referring to are the offical EVA Airways-affiliated hotels, indeed none of which are in Kaohsiung. The ';Evergreen Hotel'; in Kaohsiung is not affiliated with EVA, as far as I know.

I m now planning a rough iternary and I hope that some1 can give me feedback whether is is feasible

Day 1

Arrive at Evergreen Hotel ard 8plus on sun night so I was thinking mayb spending the rest of the night at 1 of the night markets. I was thinking mayb Liouhe or Ruifeng nite market (cos Ruifeng only operates on certain days)

Day 2

Travel to Kenting mayb spending whole day there in the evening maybe proceed to Love River and around the area, actually thinking of going Sizihwan too cos is around the area but i m not sure whether the time is too packed?

Day 3

Travel to R16 Zuoying (Dragon %26amp; Tiger Pagodas, Spring %26amp; Autumn Pavilions, Confucius Temple). Then followed by Dream Mall and Cijin island. Perhaps at night to 1 of the night market for dinner.

Day 4

Would like to shop at Jyuejiang Shopping Street/ Yuansu Yujhu Shopping Area before taking the bullet train to taipei in the afternoon

Can any of you help me see whether i will be wasting a lot of travelling time esp in Day 3 cos i understand that Cijin island is actually quite near to Love River and Sizihwan. Would it be better to go to these places on the same day? Did i miss out any ';must'; visit places or anywhere i can give it a miss? Can some1 help me, cos i did research and it seems that many of the place is better to go at night cos of the night scenery??
