Cherry Blossom in Taipei?

I have heard from some where that we can actually see Cherry Blossom in Taipei during March/April.

May I know is this true?

Sorry, when I say Cherry Blossom, is it those Cherry Blossom that is found in Japan or it means 梅花？

it is 櫻花, n yes, u get to see them in March/april.

Actually right now you can see Cherry Blossom in Yang ming shan.Most of them are Taiwanese Cherry whose flowers are red .

Some already out in the mountains as I took these pics last week at Pishan in Neihu as a few trees already in full bloom:

When i went Taroko during mid jan... I saw 1 cherry tree blossom hee...

Gosh........

Does that mean I will miss all these beautiful flowers when I am there on the 4th week of March?

go to Alishan for cherry blossom in March/April; the ones in taipei (YMS n Wulai) would probably be gone or dwindling at best by that time.

Which is a better place to view cherry blossoms? YMS or Wulai? Are there also many cherry blossom trees in Wulai?
