transport from airport to XMD!

Hey! Just checking if anyone has any idea how much it costs to take a cab from the airport to XMD??

Because i%26#39;m staying at royal castle located near XMD.. haven%26#39;t been there before so i%26#39;m thinking how i can get there!

Is it a good idea to take the kuo kwang transport to Taipei Main stn and then take a cab to my hotel ? save cost?? hahahaha

Hi,

Cab fare from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei is about NT1000; Kuokuang (Guoguang) Bus to Taipei Station + taxi to Royal Castle would cost a total of about NT200~250.

Be sure to have the hotel%26#39;s Chinese name (成都大飯店) and address on hand for the taxi driver, because he probably won%26#39;t know it by the name ';Royal Castle';.

And if he still has a problem finding it, you can tell him it%26#39;s near the Ambassador Theater (國賓大戲院).

It%26#39;s easy to get to yr Royal Castle hotel from the TTI Airport. 2 main ways:

1. Take KuoKuang bus to Taipei Main Station, then cab to RC hotel.

2. Take FreeGo bus, which will drop U off where RC is.

I%26#39;ve just bought my TWD at the money changer and he did not have any small notes. If exact change is needed, i would need to purchase something at the airport first before boarding the bus.

I am quite certain you can purchase the bus tickets over their counter at the airport. You shouldn%26#39;t have problem breaking your big note there.

Haha I%26#39;m back from the trip. We took the freego bus cause it stops at RC.

Estan, we used 1000 notes to purchase the tickets too. I don%26#39;t think they need the exact! Don%26#39;t worry ;]

Hey the bus seats were spacious and comfy. It was rather empty when I took it at about 3 plus pm.

I think the tics were 125yuan per pax and it takes about 40-45 mins to reach right outside RC.

I only took it one way though cause of the review I saw by someone (can%26#39;t rmb who!) that they were almost late for their flight. Anyway the cab ride from RC to airport was about 900yuan if u wanna know. :]

So how did U enjoy yr tour? Glad U responded to simple advice n benefitted! :-)

On both of our Taiwan visits, we took KuoKuang %26amp; FreeGo buses.

Comparatively, FreeGo has the newer fleet of coaches.

FreeGo counter @ TTIAirport will suggest commuters to buy their return ticket (for a small discount).. But I find it lots faster n less hassle (no transfer en route) to just take KK bus from terminal beside Taipei Main Statn area for the 45mins+- trip to the Airport.
