Anyone been to Taichung?

Hello everybody!

We%26#39;re planning a day trip from Taipei to Taichung. We want to take the HSR to experience the journey. Also, is there any other night markets besides Fengjia ye shi?

All we know now is how to take the hsr there and back! How do we get to fengjia (and other night markets) once we reached Taichung hsr station?

Help! We%26#39;re leaving in a month%26#39;s time! Thank you all very much for your help. =)

there%26#39;s some free shuttle service @ taichung hsr. ask round. there is one shuttle service will bring you to sogo department area.

i went jingming 1st street. but had a hard time finding. walk quite a distance. would suggest take a cab. i remb taking a cab frm fengjia NM back to hsr station. i think it cost less than 200nt?

Apart from Fengjia night market, other night markets in Taichung include Tunghai NM, Jhonghua NM, Yu Tsai NM, Zhongxiao NM.

From Taichung HSR Station %26gt; Fengjia Night Market

Board Renyou bus (仁友客運) 125 direct to Fengjia night market. But bus journey takes a longer time as the bus enroutes to Taichung Railway Station before heading to Fengjia night market.

You can also board United Bus (統聯客運) 85 ';高鐵臺中站 to 中台科技大學'; route. Alight at stop no. 14 -- 中港路口 (富王飯店路口). Transfer to Renyou (仁友客運) bus 22 at 富王大飯店招牌對面人行道樹下(文心路612) bus stop to Fengjia Night Market.

Alternatively, board a railway train at Wurih Station (connected to Taichung HSR Station) to Taichung Railway Station.

Travel time: About 9~11 mins. Buses from Taichung Railway Station heading to Fengjia night market include: Taichung City bus 33, 35. Fare: NT$23 Travel time: About 30 mins. Taichung City Bus (市巴士): http://www.tcbus.com.tw

Renyou bus 22, 25, 45 and 125 Fare: NT$26 Travel time: About 30 mins. Renyou Bus (仁友客運): http://www.rybus.com.tw

Board the shuttle bus headed to Tunghai University to go to Tunghai NM. Jhonghua and Yu Tsai NM are within walking distance to the front of Taichung Railway Station. Zhongxiao NM is also within walking distance but to the rear of Taichung Railway Station.
