Does anyone know if it is possible to explore Alishan from 2 to 5pm in Summer? Not so sure why everyone opts to visit the park in the am. Is it because of the weather? Does anyone know if it is possible to cover just 明月窟 IN Dadong Park for 2-3 hrs? And how far is 明月窟 from 石桌 or 奮起湖 and how far is 石桌 from 奮起湖 ?

2-5 pm is fine for the summer, when the sun sets around 7 pm. But during winter the sun starts to set at 4:30, and by 5 the mountain will be engulfed in total darkness.
