The seasonal giveaways / free gifts can be collected at Tourism Bureau’s head office in Taipei city or at the Tourism Bureau’s representative office abroad.

Last month i redeem the hot spring voucher by emailing them my scan accomdation and air ticket confirmation. Then they mailed me the voucher. YOu guys can try asking if this is possible if you have no time to go down and collect :)

Hi taiwanDIY, does this promo includes going to Khaoshiung? Or strictly for people landing in Taipei.

There%26#39;s a question I want to ask too since you are so expert with Taiwan, if I took a train to Chiayi, I plan to tour around Alishan and stay in Jane-Su Homestay, how do I go there? Is there any bus or anything I can catch? How do I go around Alishan by myself without going with a tour group, will it be hard to explore by myself? Thanks for sharing.

The seasonal giveaway / free gift for the first season (available from January to June 2009) is a Taipei Easycard OR Kaohsiung I-pass card (choose one). Each card has a stored value of NT$50 It does not have a deposit value. The card can be top-up when the stored value is low. Before leaving Taiwan, you can seek a refund of the unused stored value at any train station in Taipei (for Taipei Easycard) and Kaohsiung (for I-pass).

I understand visitors to Taiwan can still receive the seasonal giveaway / free gift with just the proof of air ticket to Taiwan (it does not matter whether landing in Taipei or Kaohsiung) and with proof of accommodation stay in Taiwan upon return from the trip.

Alishan Forest Recreation Area is vast. There are directional signs with distances posted along the hiking trail to guide visitors. Alishan can be explored on your own without a tour guide. Please refer to the following maps for the locations of attractions:

this sounds pretty good, but what if you stay in a country where there is no office of the Taiwanese-tourist-board. can you get this giveaway after arriving at the airport in TPE as well? or how ?

Hi Mary4Ong, How much Charlie quoted you for the stay? We are arriving on 10April and Charlie quoted us for one night stay (2pax) at NT14,000 with pick up from bus station. We find that its really costly.

Maybe we can explore Long-Yun homestay. Looks clean and new and less costly! Is this at Alishan or half way?

Hello Crazybun, yeah I think that is their rate, it%26#39;s same here, but I requested them to help me look for somebody to share the van, so the rate can go lower. Just keep my fingers cross there will be somebody who will come along. Hope you too like me will enjoy your tour in Alishan.
