Interpretation of Train Schedule from Taipei to Hualien

I did a quick Guided Query on the train schedule for the Taipei - Hualien route and found the following. My questions:

1) In the query, I selected the departure as Taipei but the return result of origin was ';Yuanlin'; and ';Ershuei'; and the departure time was indicated as ';Taipei Departure';. What does that mean? Are the trains below still departing from Taipei Main Station?

2) The route has a indication of ';Mout';. Does that mean the train will be taking the scenic mountain route from Taipei to Hualien?

Tze Chiang 1086 Mout Yuanlin To Hualien 09:30 11:42 2h 12m

Tze Chiang 1000 Mout Ershuei To Hualien 08:30 11:02 2h 32m

Grateful for some guidance. Thanks!

1.That means the trains are traveling from Yuanlin or Ershuei to Haulien via Taipei.

Both the trains still departing from Taipei main Station after a ahort stopping for passengers.

2.That means the train will be taking the mountain route at Taichung and Miaoli. If you read the map of TRA ,you will find out there are two railroads at those area.

Thanks a lot Lu. That means I can actually book any of those trains in the list since they are arriving from different stations but are all heading to Hualien right? If I want a scenic route, should I take the train with the ';tarako'; sign or the mountain route?

1.Yes,all the trains in the list are available.

2.there%26#39;s only one route from Taipei to Haulien,if you need a better sea view then ask the seats at your left hand side beside the window,

Taroko is the best train of TRA trains,it%26#39;s newest, fastest and same price with Tze Chiang ,should be the first choice for passenger heading for Haulien.

Thank you very much.
