Locations for wedding photo-taking. =)

Hi guys,

I%26#39;ll be taking my wedding pics in TW, and my BS here agreed to send her PG and MUA over. :D But actually, I have a dilemma - coz they may not be familiar with Taiwan! :( And my chinese is really... cannot make it.

So here i am, planning with info gathered from websites. :) Hope some kind souls can help me determine if it%26#39;s realistic because the distance between areas can be pretty far. Didnt want to waste time travelling also. :)

Here it goes - 2 days shoot.

1st day:

1. Calla Lily @ 陽明山竹子湖

2. 聖人瀑布 Waterfall @ www.pse100i.idv.tw/n/neasn/neasn001.htm

3. Tree swing @ Pisces Coffee Garden (lunch probably) or 外雙溪

4. Young Door/希臘風情咖啡館 (same place if i%26#39;m not mistaken).

5. Windmill @ Pacific Hot-Spring %26amp; Beach Resort, Green Bay (太平洋翡翠灣溫泉會館)

Queries:

i) Distance ok? I%26#39;m under the impression no. 1 - 3 are in YMS.

ii) Where is 外雙溪? Googled but no info. Apparently it has a tree swing...

iii) Had emailed Pacific Hot-Spring if need to book a rm there before taking photos; not sure if the windmill is within their compound or not... :( Anyone know?

2nd day:

1. Shihmen wedding plaza. Is it the same as 石門 洞海灘?

2. Baishawan, Shihmen

3. Sanjhih’s Cianshueiwan

Thanks heaps!

the 1st day 1,2,3 are in YMS ,but at different areas.

4 and 5 should be put together with 2nd day ,coz they all belong to north coast.

the distance is ok.

外雙溪 is a river near the national palace museum ,but it needs go further ahead into the mountains .after the museum ,you will see a creek at your right hand side that is it.

here is some places at north coast famous for wedding photo taking,

Please enlarging the map in the link ,and you will find their locations out clearly.

i would strongly suggest you get a local photographer as only a pro who knows the area well knows how, when and where to get the best shots.

Hi Lu24759 %26amp; MariaTan,

Thanks for your replies. :)

Lu24759, I got most of my info from that url. As it%26#39;s a 2 days shoot, if I were to put item 4 and 5 @ Day 2, would Day 2 be very tight? I saw from the map that the Shihmen wedding plz, together with the beaches, are on the opp side of the map....

Still hunting down more swing locations though. :)

MariaTan, I happened to call my local BS. She said that the photographer + driver (think its those minivan kind) are from Taipei. So one worry down. :)

I can move the locations around... but how should I shift them around? I can take down the 聖人瀑布 or 1 of the beaches... =(

Hi Tako Tako,

How about go to Northern coast first ?if you can%26#39;t finish all places on 1st day ,you can postpone them to the 2nd day.

Tako Tako, I think u%26#39;re trying to squeeze too many places into the two short days, do remember that a great deal of time would have to be allocated to the make up, touch up n changing of costume to make u look %26#39;photogenic%26#39; , n then, there%26#39;s the time spend on adjustment for the best post, lighting etc etc.To top it off, the bride, in the cumbersome gown move extremely slowly especially on a beach cos u do not want to pay n arm n a leg for the dry cleaning.

Yangmingshan is a good spot for wedding photo, do get to know your photographer in advance to let him have an understanding of what u like/ dislike in your photographs; there are also some private gardens that are just fantastic for a bridal shoot, ask your photographer of he happens to have access to such places.

Hi Tako Tako,

Before deciding which scenic spots to go to, you may want to discuss with your photographer his/her style: For example, if his style is to include only a small amount of background scenery in the composition, you may not be able to tell that the photos were shot at several different beaches. You might also ask him which sites he%26#39;s familiar with, because having experience and familiarity with a place, he%26#39;ll know the best angles, lighting, effects, what to avoid, etc.

Beaches are usually done towards the end, because the wedding dress is often soiled after a beach shoot.

Green Bay and Fulong are softer and sandier; Cianshueiwan is sandy, but a little more rugged.

Hihi!

Thanks for your useful inputs!

I have a feeling its a bit too squeezy but because I%26#39;m not familiar with the travelling distances, its a bit tough. =)

I would love to have a talk with the photographer. Unfortunately, I will meet him only upon reaching. Nevertheless, I%26#39;ll send a copy of the locations a must-go locations + can-be-skipped ones to my local BS who will liaise with him.

Will update when back!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums TakoTako.

And congrats! :-)

Hv U thot abt Danshui town?

We visited Danshui on both 06 %26amp; 08. On each trip, we found wedding shooting going on there.

It%26#39;s a relaxing, romantic getaway place.

TA :-)
