Booking train tickets to Hualien

Hihi,

I need some advise here... I%26#39;m going to taipei on 23rd Apr and have decided to go Hualien on 27 (Mon). Do i need to book the tickets in advance online or can i buy the tickets at the counter when i reach taipei?

Also, does anybody know what time the train ticket counter close?

it used to close at nine, not sure about now as there has been some recent changes to booking deadline, they may also have made changes to the closing time.

Mon is quite lax traffic wise so it should be OK to walk up as long as you are not particular about which train you take.

U can buy tkts when u got there. I%26#39;m sure there will be seats available on Mon. However, do check the timetable in advance. There might not be many trains.

I believe the tkt counters won%26#39;t close before 10. Not pretty sure when exactly do they close. Small stations might close earlier. But it%26#39;s safer not to travel so late at night.

Sorry, tix counter closes at 10, it is the online system that used to be off by 9, now 10pm.
